Bridget Thorpe

Bridget was raised in Kīlauea and graduated from Kula High and Intermediate, a former independent middle and high school on the North Shore of Kauaʻi.

After graduating first in her class from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Business Operations and Entrepreneurship, she earned her MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and Corporate Governance from San Diego State University.

Prior to joining Namahana Education Foundation, Bridget worked with Schneider Electric for many years advising global Fortune 500s on renewable energy, carbon, and sustainability marketing initiatives. She also directed communications for a climate tech nonprofit and led a sustainable apparel venture through the PreX investment accelerator, the NASDAQ Milestones accelerator, as well as Ellen MacArthur Circularity Foundation programs.

Bridget has been an active student mentor since 2021. She has guest lectured local STEM students on ways ʻāina-based practices support United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, served as an active North Shore Give volunteer, and supported local equine healthcare via the Kauai North Shore Animal Clinic.

Bridget currently lives in Kapaʻa with her husband and daughter, and they are all grateful to be close to family in Kīlauea.
