Mahalo for All the Support at Our August 4 Land Blessing

We are hugely grateful and humbled by the support shown at last weekend’s land blessing for the new Namahana School site. From the donations and help with the event preparation, to the volunteers, speakers and photographers who made the event happen, to the many attendees who came to get their first experience of the beautiful school site and vision, we thank you.  

At the event, the community was able to tour the newly purchased school site. Multiple stations provided a look at school’s forthcoming curriculum, rooted in Big Picture Learning and Namahana’s Ola Learning Framework. The Kīlauea Social Club provided entertainment, and over 300 attendees enjoyed food, a Namahana screen printing station, and lei making. Over 80 people brought plants, which will be used in the landscaping of the school.
