Saul Caprio
BSaul Caprio spent his career in business development and business unit management of software and technical hardware for the financial service and gaming industry. Now semi-retired, he consults with offshore software companies expanding into the US. Saul became a member of the Namahana Education Foundation’s Board of Directors to use that same drive to contribute to the educational legacy of Kauaʻi’s North Shore.
Born in New York City and raised in St. Louis Missouri, Saul landed in Portland OR where he met his wife Teri and raised four children. His work has taken him from Oregon to Texas, Lake Tahoe and Kauai. He has served on the South Lake Tahoe Barton Hospital Board of Trustees as head of the finance committee managing its investment portfolio. These days, he and his wife, Teri share their time between Lake Tahoe, Kauaʻi and Portland.
With ten grandchildren, three of whom live on Kauaʻi and all of whom seem to show up at once in Princeville, he says, “I’m here for my grandchildren and all the children that will come after them. The North Shore deserves a quality middle and high school that reflects the values of our place and provides the academic strength for them to follow whatever path they chose.”
